What is EMDR Therapy?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, eight-phase therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing experiences so they no longer feel overwhelming. The process involves guided bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds—which activates both sides of the brain, allowing painful memories to be reprocessed in a healthier way.
